Pro Tip: To experience the Masaya Volcano at sunset, make sure you're in Group One (approximately the first fifteen cars). The groups are staggered and not everyone makes it inside the park within the short two-hour window. The gates open around 5:30pm, so aim to get there with your guide at least one hour early. The extra time is well worth the payoff!
